Swirling saxophones, brash brass, a driving rhythm section and sensational vocalist is what you need to made Jazz on the Rocks 2012 a night to remember!

The supporting act is Strange Fruit – A Billie Holiday Tribute

‘Lady Day’ was a true Jazz Diva. Admired the world over for her deeply personal approach to singing, she led a troubled life but somehow rose above it all through her music. Her mesmerising vocals produced many notable standards such as “God Bless the Child”, “The Man I Love”, “What a Little Moonlight Can Do” and “Strange Fruit”.  In this stunning tribute, with its carefully selected set,
tales of inspiration and poignant historical anecdotes, Analisa Bell takes you on the journey that is Billie Holiday.

“Entertaining and moving, Analisa Bell pays loving and respectful tribute to the life and music of the legendary Lady Day in Strange Fruit… Combining high levels of vocal control with her own natural gifts she produced captivating vocals and an impressive, sustained delivery… She channelled the spirit of the subject, showing an exquisite sensibility… Rating: Four stars” – Artshub
